2010 Simulated Emergency Test on Sunday, October 10 from 3-6pm

NFARES will be holding the 2010 Simulated Emergency Test (SET) on Sunday, October 10th from 3-6PM.

This year's simulated emergency will be a hurricane and we are hoping that our preparation will be for a test and not a real hurricane emergency. With your help, we will provide ham radio operators at all Sandy Springs, Johns Creek, Roswell, Alpharetta and Milton fire stations, hospitals and shelters, and pass messages between locations using the National Traffic System (NTS) format.

To participate, please contact Mike Cohen (AD4MC) at set2010@nfarl.org.

We will train you how to use the NTS format, and you do not have to be an ARES member or have any previous SET experience to volunteer, so join us for a great time. Last year's SET was lots of fun, and we are looking forward to having even more fun this year.
